General Practice Medicine North Charleston
Dr. Jacob Vaught is originally from Williamsburg, Virginia. He earned his undergraduate degree at Radford University and completed medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He went on to complete his residency training in the combined specialty of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds) at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. After residency, Dr. Vaught joined MUSC’s Internal Medicine and Pediatrics clinic, where he enjoys caring for patients across all stages of life—from newborns to older adults. He is board-eligible in both internal medicine and pediatrics and is passionate about building long-term relationships with his patients and families. Dr. Vaught’s clinical interests include hospital medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, and global health. He has served in medical outreach programs across Central America, Africa, and South Asia and continues to be involved in medical education and community health initiatives.
